CJHSLA Parlor Speaker Series Presents Debate: The Next President and the Jewish People Sunday, November 11, 2007 Sportsmen’s Lodge, Sherman Oaks, California
|
In the Middle East , the Jewish State faces the risk of complete
physical annihilation for the first time in decades. There is no
such thing as an insignificant election for the President of the
United States , but rarely have the stakes been as high as in the
2008 race.
Voters will be asked to choose who can best lead the country to
deal with Iraq and Afghanistan , can best handle Iran and Russia ,
and can best deal with ongoing environmental and economic
problems.
Politicians - especially politicians dealing with issues as daunting
as these - have an interest in keeping their policies vague so as
to appeal to the broadest constituency.
Larry Greenfield: California Director, Republican Jewish Coalition
Andrew Lachman: President, Democrats for Israel , Los Angeles
Moderated by Steven Goldberg, Vice President, CJHSLA;
